The bridge pickup uses Alnico 5 magnets to add power and sustain for those wanting a bigger push without tonal coloration. The result is slightly larger than the stock bridge pickup, so the original chrome mounting ring cannot be used with it. Seymour Duncan supply a special phenolic mounting ring that goes well with the pickup and will look great on your bass. The neck pickup uses two ceramic magnets and special windings to add warmth, clarity and tonal range over stock a Ric neck pickup.
