This P-J set is designed for players who need P and J voices in one instrument. The P neck pickup has a higher output than the J bridge pickup in the same way as a P-Bass has higher output than a J-Bass. And they'll take any slapping and popping you want to give them. The Classic Bass series is popular with progressive, jazz, gospel, and metal musicians where articulation is critical.
