The Tone City Black Tea is an amp-in-a-box distortion pedal with the classic British AC30-style tone. Lower to medium gain settings create a sweet, crisp overdrive with a mellow mid-range, reminiscent of the old 'Top Boost' amps from the late '60s. The pedal has a good clean-up and dynamic reaction to guitar's Volume control and uses a built-in charge pump for an increased headroom.
