Nordstrand Audio was founded by the trained luthier Carey Nordstrand in 2005. The Californian brand quickly became known for innovative instrument and electronics designs such as the angled pole piece design for pickups. After increasing demand for the superior-sounding custom-made pickups from Carey’s mod shop, a whole range of pickups for bass and guitar, as well as bass electronics has come together to make musicians happier with their tone. With many styles of pickups also for 5- and 6-stringed basses, Nordstrand Audio is a synonym for great modern designs rooted in traditional tried-and-true methods and materials.
