The Kala Mahogany Banjo Tenor combines the construction principles of a banjo with a tenor ukulele. It is designed to deliver the characteristic percussive response associated with banjo instruments while maintaining familiar ukulele playability.
The instrument features a multi‑ply mahogany shell fitted with a Remo Weatherking Fiberskyn head. This synthetic head material is designed to replicate the look and response of traditional calfskin and produces a bright, treble‑focused attack with clear projection. This banjolele features a mahogany neck with rosewood fingerboard, a maple bridge with ebony cap, a Graph Tech NuBone nut and open-gear tuners.
