Roger Sadowsky's goal was always to further improve an already very successful bass design by making a number of detailed improvements. Along with the electronics, which he developed by himself, he succeeded to raise the well-known P/J bass sound to a new level, so today you can speak of a typical Sadowsky tone: Never harsh or shrill sounding, with strong, powerful but never muddy bass, with present, but not too aggressive mids, and a sweet and airy treble range. This modern bass sound can also be found in the Sadowsky MetroLine 21-Fret Hybrid P/J Solidbody line of basses. This 4-string solidbody left-hand bass, seen here in an Almond Sunburst Transparent Satin finish, features a P-Style body made of solid American Swamp Ash.The neck is made of Maple with a 1.5" / 38.5 mm wide nut and features a Maple fingerboard. String spacing at the bridge is 0.79" / 20 mm and the string distance between all of the strings is 2.36" / 60 mm. Special features of this bass include Sadowsky P and J pickups, active electronics with true bypass, Vintage Tone Control, treble and bass boost.
