Mooer GE200 PRO - Amp Modeling & Multi Effects

Just months after releasing its cutting-edge multi-effects and amp simulation pedal, the GE1000, MOOER has announced a new addition to the GE series: the GE200 Pro. The pedal is designed as an updated version of its previous iteration, the GE200, improving upon it with MOOER’s latest sound design language and features. Despite being more affordable than the GE1000, the GE200 Pro is still packed full of features. It boasts 286 advanced effect modules and amp models, providing guitarists with countless chain combinations to explore. To add to this flexibility, the multi-effects pedal also supports the downloading of MOOER’s in-house MNRS amp sim impulse response files, offering 20 free storage slots. This also enables users to download and share third-party IR cabinet simulation files of up to 2048 points, further enhancing the pedal’s versatility. At the heart of the GE200 Pro is a large 3.5-inch high-quality color LCD screen, which acts as an intuitive user interface that makes navigating the pedal’s extensive features a breeze. The device's select knob can be both rotated or pressed to navigate this screen, while MOOER’s signature quick-access module buttons and preset footswitches, familiar to users of the GE series, ensure that key features are always within easy reach. Further adding to the GE200 Pro’s unique interfacing options, an onboard expression pedal, configurable as a volume control or effect expression pedal, is also built into the device. Impressively, the pedal’s 1/4" stereo TRS jack can also be used to connect an external expression cable. The GE200 Pro also has a Groove Station mode, which encourages creative practice and performance workflows. It includes a drum machine with 70 patterns, metronomes, and a 60-second phrase looper that can be BPM-synchronized. A precise built-in instrument tuner, tap tempo control, and adjustable Global EQ settings are also integrated, contributing to an all-in-one guitar suite that prevents the need for external pedals and devices. The GE200 Pro's audio routing is highly adaptable, providing extensive options to accommodate any audio setup. While the pedal features industry standards such as a mono 1/4" input, stereo 1/4" outputs, and a 3.5mm headphone output, it also includes parallel or serial FX loop send and returns, as well as stereo XLR outputs. Most notably, the device also features a USB-C port for connection to low-latency ASIO USB audio interfaces, in addition to the free MOOER Studio Software and Cloud APP. Digital connectivity is another highlight, with support for Bluetooth audio playback enabling the streaming of backing tracks to the GE200 Pro. Programmable MIDI inputs and outputs are also provided, helping audio technicians to dynamically control many pedal features through a MIDI controller or DAW. Finally, the GE200 Pro’s Bluetooth support extends to connecting with the GE CLOUD app, allowing users to upload and download presets and sample files easily. The GE200 Pro will be available in two different models: the standard GE200 Pro, powered by a traditional power adaptor, and the GE200 Pro Li, which can also run on an integrated Lithium-Ion battery. Furthermore, the GE200 Pro Li boasts a beautiful ambient light LED strip with customizable colors and display styles, adding a visual flair to any performance. Overall, the GE200 Pro presents itself as a much-anticipated update to the original GE200 while also providing a more affordable alternative to MOOER’s flagship GE1000.
