Jean Larrivée started building guitars in 1967, at that time still in Toronto, Canada. Since then, he invented many tools and techniques, which were also adopted by other luthiers and manufacturers. With a preference for Sitka spruce, he was always searching for the finest solid woods available all over the world. Today, after moving into bigger locations several times and growning by another generation in the meantime, the goal of the 'Makers Of Fine Guitars' is still the same: To build the best high-end guitars – and put them into the hands of everyday musicians! This 'affordable luxury' also includes Wendy Larrivée's spectacularly beautiful custom inlay artwork, which can be optionally ordered for headstocks, fretboards, and bridges.
